Box Steps

Box Step Thumb

Rules

  1. The weight stated is the individual weight of each dumbell. For example: ā€œ60 at 5kgā€ means 60 box steps with 2 x 5kg dumbells.
  2. Competitor picks up the dumbells off the top of the box.
  3. Feet must cross the marked line with body in the upright position on the upward movement. Knees fully extended; hips above knees.
  4. Every effort must be made to straighten the legs.
  5. The standard height for the box is 5 risers plus the step (or 14 inch Box).
  6. One foot must be in contact with the floor or box at all times.
  7. Competitor must place weights back on the box after completing the reps.
